How It All Began
A friend of mine, Stacy, talked to me one day in the Fall of 2014 about her awful experience making a putz house. I didn’t know what they were. She told me all about Christmas Villages. Then she told me how she had found a pattern, gotten some cereal boxes, followed the directions, and produced an ugly mess. She threw the whole thing into the garbage. She swore she would never attempt a craft again.
I was surprised. Stacy is somebody who sees things through. After a little gentle prodding, it was clear. All she wanted to do was create the Christmas Village. She wanted to paint and glitter and arrange. She didn’t want to fight with patterns, collecting cereal boxes, and the rest of the stuff.
I thought if someone could take out all the aggravation, then she could focus on the fun creative part. So I came up with a small cottage. She loved it. It became her first Christmas Village house and my first craft kit.
Why
It’s simple. I realized Stacy wasn’t alone. There are lots of people who could really enjoy paper crafting. They want to spend their time being creative, not wasting it on aggravating distractions. All they need is a little help.
So I started making kits. I got asked a ton more questions. That’s when I started blogging. That lead to eBooks and courses. Who knows what will be next?
